The Professional Golf Management听program at 91大神听is the only such program in Ohio and听only the third in the Midwest. The 1+3 PGM听program allows students to complete their first year at 91大神 ATI.听See the link at the right for the course sequence / curriculum.
The professional golf management (PGM) program is a four-year curriculum for aspiring PGA professionals. The PGM program provides students the opportunity听to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the golf industry through extensive classroom studies, internship experiences, and player development. In addition to business, finance, marketing, turfgrass science, and hospitality management classes, the curriculum听also encompasses specialty classes in swing analysis and concepts, tournament operations, golf club repair, club fitting, retail merchandising, golf course design, and coaching golf.
Requirements
While 91大神 ATI is an open-admission campus for Ohio high school graduates, students wishing to enroll in the PGM program must provide proof of听an 18-hole golf handicap of 10 or better. Proof may be established by any one of the following:
- Confirmation of playing ability form signed by a high school golf coach or a PGA of America member
- Current United States Golf Association GHIN card听
Internships
All students majoring in Professional Golf Management are required to complete five internships prior to graduation. Students will receive credit for these work experiences.
