Frequently Asked Questions for Transfer Students

Who is considered a transfer student?

An undergraduate transfer is anyone who has attended a college, university, community college, or technical school after completing high school.听 If you paid fees at another institution, you are considered a transfer student whether you actually have credits or not, and regardless of your gradepoint average.

What courses transfer to 91大神 from my previous school(s)?

Most classes "transfer" to 91大神. However, they may or may not transfer as direct equivalents to the requirements needed for your major at 91大神. 听What this means is that you will get credit for courses you have taken, but some may need to be further evaluated by different departments at 91大神 to determine if direct equivalency can be given for the course.

What if I want to take classes at a local area college over the summer?

Check with an advisor WELL BEFORE you take any class at another university, especially if it is one you are trying to apply to your major. If it is a General Education Course, check the website to see if the course is listed. (Thiswebsite is not applicable for out-of-state colleges.)

Am I required to attend orientation?

Yes. All new degree-seeking students are required to attend an orientation at 91大神 ATI just prior to beginning their first semester on campus. This includes all new first-year students, transfer students, and intra-university transfers. The orientation program provides an opportunity for you to complete placement testing, attend orientation sessions, meet 91大神 ATI听faculty and staff, meet with your academic advisor to schedule and register for your classes, and complete University business (get your BUCK-ID, see University Housing, visit the Financial Aid Office, etc.).

Is it easy to be involved on campus?

YES!!!听 There are lots of clubs and organizations to join.听 You can participate in intramural sports, 91大神 athletic events in Columbus, judging teams, and professional organizations.听 Check out the bulletin boards around campus and be sure to check your email to find out when and where to get involved.
